Haus & Waltz Warranty & Satisfaction
Our Product Guarantee
At Haus & Waltz, we stand behind the quality, craftsmanship, and durability of the pieces we offer. Our furniture is selected and crafted to provide lasting comfort, functionality, and refined design.
Unless otherwise stated for a specific product, Haus & Waltz furniture includes a 5-Year Limited Warranty against manufacturing defects, beginning on the original date of delivery.
Because furniture incorporates different materials and components, certain materials may carry their own specific warranty periods, as outlined below.
Warranty Coverage by Material
- Aluminum frames: Lifetime limited warranty against structural manufacturing defects.
- Sunbrella® fabric: 5-year limited warranty against loss of strength and color resulting from normal exposure conditions, subject to the manufacturer’s warranty terms.
- Acrylic fiber: 3-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects.
- Acrylic rope: 3-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects.
- Other furniture components: Covered under the Haus & Waltz 5-Year Limited Warranty unless otherwise specified on the product page or purchase documentation.
Manufacturer warranties may contain additional conditions, exclusions, and limitations.
What Our Warranty Covers
Our limited warranty applies to defects in materials or workmanship that occur under normal residential use and proper care.
Depending on the product, covered manufacturing defects may include structural failure of frames or components; defective hardware or mechanisms; abnormal separation, cracking, or failure of materials attributable to manufacturing; stitching or construction defects not caused by use or external damage; and other defects that materially affect the intended function of the furniture.
The warranty applies only when the product has been used and maintained according to the applicable care instructions.
What the Warranty Does Not Cover
Our warranty does not cover conditions resulting from normal use, environmental exposure, improper care, accidents, or circumstances outside the manufacturing process.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- Normal wear and tear, including minor scratches, scuffs, compression, pilling, or gradual changes in appearance.
- Damage caused by misuse, abuse, accidents, impact, pets, improper cleaning, or failure to follow care instructions.
- Damage caused by unauthorized repairs, alterations, modifications, or relocation.
- Damage caused by improper assembly or installation when performed by a third party not authorized by Haus & Waltz.
- Mold, mildew, staining, water damage, chemical exposure, or damage caused by improper storage or maintenance.
- Damage resulting from extreme weather, storms, flooding, fire, or other events outside normal product use.
- Commercial, rental, hospitality, or other non-residential use unless the product was expressly sold with a commercial-use warranty.
- Natural variations in color, grain, texture, veining, knots, or other characteristics inherent to natural materials.
- Products sold as final sale, floor samples, clearance, or “as-is” where the condition was disclosed at the time of purchase, unless otherwise stated in writing.
Sun Exposure, Fading & Color Changes
Furniture and textiles naturally respond to their environment. Exposure to sunlight, heat, humidity, rain, salt air, chemicals, and other environmental conditions may cause gradual changes in color and appearance.
Normal fading or color variation resulting from environmental exposure is not considered a manufacturing defect unless specifically covered by the applicable manufacturer’s material warranty.
Where a fabric or material—such as Sunbrella®—includes a separate manufacturer’s warranty against abnormal loss of color or strength, Haus & Waltz will assist the customer in submitting the applicable warranty claim.
Slight color differences between samples, photography, showroom pieces, and delivered products may also occur and are not necessarily considered defects.
Natural Wood, Teak & Natural Materials
Natural materials are unique by nature.
Variations in grain, tone, texture, knots, mineral markings, and other natural characteristics are part of the material and are not considered manufacturing defects.
Teak and other natural woods are living finishes that will change over time. Depending on exposure and maintenance, teak may naturally weather and develop a silver-gray patina.
Regular cleaning, protection, and maintenance are the customer’s responsibility.
Natural weathering, checking, minor surface cracks, grain variation, and changes caused by environmental exposure are not covered unless they result from a verified manufacturing defect.
Delivery & Installation Damage
Delivery-related damage is handled separately from manufacturing warranty claims.
We strongly encourage customers to inspect all furniture at the time of delivery and installation.
If you notice visible damage, missing components, incorrect items, or installation-related issues, please photograph the condition and notify Haus & Waltz within 48 hours of delivery.
Whenever possible, visible damage should also be noted on the delivery documentation before the delivery team leaves.
For concealed damage that could not reasonably be identified during delivery, please contact us as soon as the issue is discovered and provide photographs and supporting information.
Damage caused after delivery has been completed—including damage resulting from moving, handling, storage, or installation performed by the customer or an unaffiliated third party—is not considered a manufacturing defect.
How to Submit a Warranty Claim
We want the warranty process to be straightforward.
To submit a claim, contact operations@hausandwaltz.com with:
- Your full name and contact information.
- Order or invoice number.
- Product name or SKU, if available.
- Date of purchase and delivery.
- A description of the issue and when it was first noticed.
- Clear photographs of the entire product and close-up photographs of the affected area.
- Video of the issue when movement, mechanisms, or structural performance are involved.
Once the information is received, our team will confirm receipt of your claim and begin the review process.
Claim Review Process
Step 1 — Claim received
Haus & Waltz reviews the documentation provided and verifies warranty eligibility.
Step 2 — Evaluation
We may request additional photographs, video, measurements, an inspection, or additional information from the manufacturer.
Step 3 — Determination
Once the evaluation is complete, we will notify you whether the claim qualifies for warranty coverage and explain the proposed resolution.
We aim to provide an initial response to warranty claims within 5 business days. Claims requiring manufacturer review, replacement parts, inspections, or custom-production evaluation may require additional time.
Warranty Resolution
If Haus & Waltz determines that an issue is covered by the applicable warranty, we will determine the appropriate remedy based on the nature of the defect, product availability, and manufacturer’s warranty terms.
At our discretion, the resolution may include:
Repair of the affected product or component;
Replacement of the defective component rather than the entire product;
Replacement of the product when repair or component replacement is not reasonably possible; or
Store credit or refund, when Haus & Waltz determines that another remedy is not reasonably available.
A defect affecting one component does not automatically qualify the entire furniture piece or set for replacement.
Where an identical replacement is unavailable or discontinued, Haus & Waltz may offer a reasonably comparable replacement or another appropriate resolution.
Warranty claims do not automatically entitle the customer to a refund.
Replacement Parts & Color Matching
Furniture materials naturally change with age and exposure. As a result, a replacement cushion, fabric panel, wood component, rope section, or other part may not perfectly match the color or appearance of an existing piece.
Reasonable variations between original and replacement materials are not considered defects.
Haus & Waltz cannot guarantee exact color matching for replacement components, particularly for products that have been exposed to sunlight or weather over time.
Original Purchaser & Proof of Purchase
Unless otherwise required by applicable law or expressly stated in writing, the Haus & Waltz Limited Warranty applies to the original purchaser and is not transferable.
Proof of purchase is required for warranty service.
The warranty period begins on the original delivery date and is not restarted or extended when a component or product is repaired or replaced, except where required by applicable law.
White Glove Delivery & Setup
For orders that include Haus & Waltz White Glove Delivery & Setup, our delivery team will place, unpack, and assemble eligible furniture according to the services included with your order.
Customers should inspect the furniture following setup and communicate any concerns promptly.
White Glove Delivery does not include ongoing furniture maintenance, structural modifications to the property, electrical or plumbing work, wall mounting unless specifically included, or future relocation of furniture unless separately contracted.
Our Commitment to You
Our goal is not simply to sell beautiful furniture, but to provide confidence in the pieces you bring into your home.
If something does not perform as expected, contact our team. We will review the circumstances, explain the applicable coverage, and work toward an appropriate solution in accordance with the product and manufacturer warranty.
